Artwork Specs for Digital Printing:Twirl Graphics can handle artwork from both Macintosh and PC platforms, though the way in which you create your artwork will dictate the quality of the end product. This page provides some simple tips to ensure you get the most from your files. Generally speaking here is the best way to supply digital files... • Save your file as postscript level 3. EPS (Encapsulated postscript) or an Adobe Illustrator .ai file. * • Convert all fonts to curves or paths to eliminate the need to send the fonts. • Save photographic images at a resolution of 300dpi or greater. • Please provide Pantone reference numbers (PMS) if specific colours are required. * Please note most modern software programs automatically save .eps and .ai files as postscript level 2 Correctly set up artwork is important in ensuring your printing looks as impressive as possible. Using the correct software is a great step towards getting your artwork right the first time. We prefer all artwork be supplied as a high-resolution, print-ready PDF file, though we will happily accept whatever files you have. Generally speaking, you will get a better end product if your artwork is set up in an industry-standard application such as Adobe InDesign, Quark, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Pagemaker or Photoshop. Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Publisher, are non-preferred, though we can handle them if necessary. MOST IMPORTANTLY When you create your artwork, be sure to achieve a resolution of between 150dpi and 300 dpi at output size. Lower resolutions will result in poor quality print, whilst higher resolutions simply aren’t necessary.
